The Base Business Manager oversees the execution of fabric maintenance-type contracts in terms of technical, commercial, and financial aspects.

The Base Business Manager is to ensure that all contracts managed by assigned Project Managers are executed following internal procedures and Contract requirements, meeting the objectives and targets set in terms of HSE and Quality while achieving schedule constraints and financial objectives.

Overall responsibility within the Projects rests with the Head of Projects, who has the authority to act and commit on behalf of PONTICELLI within the limits of the corresponding internal authority matrix.

RESPONSIBILITIES (overview)

• As a management representative, demonstrate HSE commitment and leadership. Positively influence safety culture and measures. Encourage and support HSE initiatives. Promote a clear understanding of HSE within the team and in all Contract phases.
• As a management representative, demonstrate commitment and leadership to Quality. Positively influence the Quality culture, encourage and support Quality initiatives, and promote a clear understanding of the Quality Process within my team and in all Contract phases.
• Contribute to the risks and opportunities management system, notably by identifying risks and opportunities and implementing subsequent actions.
•  Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and support such culture.
• Demonstrate an understanding of all contracts’ requirements, needs, and expectations, and ensure awareness of all relevant contexts required for their contract.
• Ensure that each contract management team develops and implements contract-specific procedures, following PONTICELLI standards and contracts' requirements.
•  Support the contract management team in meetings with clients, subcontractors, 3rd parties in a management capacity within the limits of the corresponding internal authority matrix.
• Demonstrate its leadership and motivate contract management teams to actively engage in knowledge sharing, capture Lessons Learned, and apply PONTICELLI's standard of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES (specific)

• Establish a positive working relationship with contract management teams and top management.
• Act as contracts’ escalation point for clients and internal processes.
• Ensure that contracts’ objectives and performance indicators are established, followed up frequently, and reported accordingly.
• Ensure contract budgets are established by contract management teams following contracts’ expectations and requirements.
• Support the Head of Projects in reviewing and endorsing contract objectives, KPIs, and budgets.
• Follow up closely on each contract’s financial performance to ensure it is within target or above.
• Ensure that contract execution plans are established and applied accordingly.
• Support contracts management team in cost estimation and writing technical and commercial proposals for routing and specific (non-routine works) when required.
