Pipefitter Supervisor
Job description
We are currently seeking candidates for 2 year fixed term positions at Hinkley Point C location. We would be looking to deploy in January and March 2026.
This role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating pipefitting activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of work to specification, quality standards, and nuclear safety culture requirements at site.
Key Deliverables:
- Supervise the installation, assembly, and testing of pipework systems to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities to pipefitters, ensuring effective utilisation of skills and resources.
- Monitor work progress and quality, conducting inspections and resolving technical queries.
- Champion safety, quality, and productivity within the team, promoting a positive safety culture.
- Deliver pre- and post-job briefings, ensuring clarity of instructions and understanding among team members.
- Engage with team members to manage motivation, discipline, and well-being, addressing issues as required.
- Liaise with other supervisors, trades, and QA/QC to coordinate activities and resolve interface issues.
- Report hazards, incidents, progress, and non-conformances promptly to enable corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Support the training and development of team members, sharing technical expertise and best practice.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to minimise risks and maximise operational efficiency.
Profile
Qualifications and Work Experience:
Essential: Level 3 Apprenticeship OR Level 3 Diploma in Pipefitting, Pipework Fabrication, Pipe Welding, Marine Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Essential: ACE Card Level 3 in Pipefitting (or equivalent)
Essential: CCNSG Safety Passport
Essential: Completion of ILM Level 3 Certificate C&BE (within 6 months of start date upon demonstration of enrolment) OR Completion of Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS) within 4 weeks of start date upon demonstration of booking and CMI Level 3 (following completion of NECS)
Essential: LATS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely (as required by site)
Essential: Demonstrable experience supervising pipefitting activities within a relevant industrial environment, including installation, assembly, and testing of pipework systems

Job Specific Knowledge:
Essential: Working knowledge of pipefitting processes, materials, and quality standards
Essential: Understanding of nuclear safety culture and site-specific requirements.
Essential: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to pipefitting supervision
