Job description
We are currently seeking candidates for 2 year fixed term positions at Hinkley Point C location. We would be looking to deploy in January and March 2026.
This role will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining pipework systems safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and nuclear safety culture requirements at site.
Key Deliverables:
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan and execute pipefitting activities.
- Install, assemble, and test pipework systems to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Verify the quality and integrity of installed pipework through inspection and testing.
- Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times.
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox talks to support a positive safety culture.
- Report hazards, incidents, or non-conformances promptly to enable corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with supervisors, other trades, and QA/QC to resolve technical queries and ensure coordinated delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance work practices and safety.
- Support the training and development of colleagues by sharing technical expertise and best practice.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to minimise risks and maximise operational efficiency.
Profile
Qualifications and Work Experience
Essential: Level 3 Apprenticeship or Diploma in Pipefitting, Pipework Fabrication, Pipe Welding or Marine Plumbing (or equivalent)
Essential: ACE Card Level 3 in Pipefitter (or equivalent)
Essential: CCNSG Safety Passport
Essential: Demonstrable experience in pipefitting activities within a relevant industrial environment, including installation, assembly, and testing of pipework systems
Desirable: Connected Competence (https://connectedcompetence.co.uk/disciplines/)
Job Specific Knowledge:
Essential: Working knowledge of pipefitting processes, materials, and quality standards
Essential: Understanding of nuclear safety culture and site-specific requirements
Essential: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to pipefitting
