The company PONTICELLI NIGERIA, a subsidiary of the Ponticelli Frères Group, is recruiting as part of its projects. You will be involved in construction projects and/or industrial maintenance activities.

We invite you to join us on a permanent contract. The position is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The position we are offering involves the following main responsabilities:
1/ QA/QC ACTIVITY
- manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and QMS requirement;
- improve quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization;
- manage the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
- plan duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules;
- establish service standards for end users (internal department or external customer);
- identify and develop QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs;
- provide leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel;
- take full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
- develop and implement risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes;
- manage plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system and following up on recommendations;
- oversee supervision of all visual inspections and NDE, including 3rd party subcontractors;
- manage inspection, NDE, and testing plans for new construction, repair work, and alterations;
- identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies;
- manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection and NDE personnel certification and QMS internal audits.
2/ WELDING ACTIVITY
- manage all welding procedures and qualifications and testing;
- analyse welding requirements for specific projects ensuring the any already approved in house procedures are acceptable and generate new procedures specific to project requirements and needs;
- responsible for the coordination of multiple projects and manage external test laboratories : classify societies and notify bodies with regard to welding procedures their approvals and testing;
- provide technical support with industry standards and specifications such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, AWS, BS EN, plus any other relevant standards which may be required;
- manage and control of all materials and consumables for welder testing and procedures;
- coordinate failure analyses and root cause analysis on welding related issues if required;
- set up and control and maintenance of a welder data base.
Profil
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
You are recognised for your ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing through memos and engineering reports.
Professional English is mandatory for the position.
